In order for an activity to earn points toward the Risk Management Premium Credit, it must be PRE-APPROVED by the PLICO Risk Management Department. You may request approval in writing or by calling the PLICO Risk Management hotline at 405.815.4803.
OFFICE STAFF TRAINING PROGRAMS
(10 Points)
PLICO offers office staff training programs designed to educate your employees in Risk Management principles and strategies. These one-hour sessions provide meaningful information regarding basic processes and behaviors that can impact the quality, efficiency and safety of your office environment.
Current topics include:
- Customer Service as a Risk Management Strategy
- Risk Management Essentials-Diagnostic Test Results, Referrals and Consults
- Handling In-Office Emergencies
By appointment-This activity must be scheduled by September 1, 2014 to assure scheduling availability for the 2014 premium credit. Call the PLICO Risk Management Department at 405.815.4803.
Physician attendance is optional: however, in order for the physician to receive the points toward the Risk Management premium credit, ALL staff including ancillary providers such as PA’s and Nurse Practitioners must attend the training program.
ON-SITE PRACTICE ASSESSMENT
(10 points)
The PLICO Risk Management Department offers On-Site Practice Assessments and provides the physician with recommendations for solutions that not only decrease risk, but also help the practice run more smoothly.
